You Are the Answer to Someone’s Prayer

I hope you attended the Unity of Austin 2016 Thanksgiving Luncheon and 55th Anniversary Celebration back in November.  It was a delicious and happy party, complete with a colorful “history corner” filled with photos and mementos.  Also there was the opportunity to sign a gratitude card for our Founding Minister, who with her husband Kelly Ponder, launched Unity of Austin in 1961.  In response to receiving our card, Rev. Ponder enclosed this note in her Christmas card to our church:

“Dear Friends at UNITY OF AUSTIN, MANY THANKS for your lovely holiday card, filled with personal greetings from so many of your members and friends.  Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.  Kelly Ponder prayed for years that there would be a UNITY OF AUSTIN.  Thank you for being part of his answered prayer – decades later!  Happy holidays and beyond … Richest blessings, Catherine Ponder.”

Friends, take this to heart.  We here at Unity of Austin are the fulfillment not only of Kelly Ponder’s prayer, but of our own prayers.  Each of us has come to this spiritual community because we long to fulfill our lives.  Together as we learn and live what it means to be the Christ in expression that is exactly what is happening.  2017 is going to be the best year ever—filled with joy, love, and abundance.  How do I know that?  Because I know you and the commitment and faith that you bring to every moment.

Richest Blessings as we enter into this glorious new year,

Rev. Anna
