What Do You Really Want?

What do you want?  Really.  Most of us want peace, prosperity, fulfilling relationships, good jobs, health, fun, etc.  If we see the outer world of facts as the sum total of reality, it makes sense to think we will have all that when things change-out there.  However, Jesus took a different approach.  Jesus was gutsy.  He had the audacity to tell a man who had been dreadfully ill for thirty-eight years to stand up, pick up his mat, and walk.  What was that!?  Jesus was either cruel, a fool, or he knew something that escapes many of us.  My experience has shown me it is the third option.  Jesus knew the Truth about people-we are divinely human and humanly divine.  When we dare to believe and act on the deep Reality that there is more to us than meets the outer eye, we flourish.  We have more than enough power, love, abundance, and joy to not only address our problems, but to utilize them for the opportunities they truly are. Every time we seek God’s Presence within us in the face of what appears to be an obstacle outside of us, we expand our capacity to live with enthusiasm and power.  We live in and are part of a friendly universe permeated with creative life.  The more we accept this, the more we become peace, prosperity, love, opportunity, health, and joy.  We express who we already are.  And that is what we want-really.
In the Love and Light of the Christ,
