We can help make one of the most important days of your life even more meaningful. Unity is a Christ Conscious, inclusive, welcoming church. We celebrate couples of diverse faith backgrounds and gender expressions. Our beautiful sanctuary makes a joyful setting for your ceremony. Our Minister is also happy to officiate your wedding in another location special to you.
In Mark 10: 13-16 we read that Jesus took children in his arms and blessed them. Jesus honored children. He knew that children had within them the innocence, trust, and vulnerability it takes to be truly happy. He invited us to treat children with great respect and reverence. In Unity, we know that outward actions are symbols of the inner reality. Christening acknowledges the Presence of the Christ in the child and supports parents and family in their commitment to raise their child in an awareness of God’s loving Presence. Christening is the act of welcoming a child into our world and recognizing this soul by name. Christening has significance because we bring to it our love, our commitment, and our spiritual consciousness. We are welcoming and inclusive, celebrating all families in the many ways they express.
Godparents ~ You may choose as many people as you wish, or have no Godparents. There is no legal obligation or responsibility made through a Christening service.
Spiritual Baptisms ~ We also offer a Spiritual Baptism Service for adults or children upon request.
