“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
Fall for us here in Central Texas is the Season of “In-Between”. Coats and long pants in the morning, shorts and sandals in the afternoon. If you’re like me, it is that time of year when both summer and winter clothes are out. Summer clothes aren’t completely packed away and winter clothes are not completely unpacked.
We too go through our seasons of “in-between”, individually and collectively. Sometimes they are easy to navigate, other times are more challenging. Although it isn’t always easy or comfortable living into the unknown in those times of in-between, I have found it smoother when I first let go of what was, or my beliefs about what was. Not necessarily less painful or easier, simply a little smoother. Tuning in to the one thing that is constant, God, that One Presence and Power within, assures me that all will be well. It also strengthens me to move forward with confidence and a willingness to be open to what is next.
I bless and give thanks for what was, grateful for a time of reflection during the in-between seasons of my life, knowing that whatever I do and wherever I go, God is with me. And it’s all good!
Love, Light, & Sparkles,
Rev. Carol
