“This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24
This week, what are you giving thanks for? I have a lot to be thankful for. I am grateful for another Thanksgiving with my sister. I am grateful for my granddaughter (aka Boss Lady) who turns 2 the day after (which also happens to be my mother’s birthday…). I am grateful for my health. I am grateful for my Spiritual community. God, thanks a lot for all the good in my life too numerous to list!
There was a time when the holidays for me, especially, were more stress-full than grateful. I dreaded them at the same time I was excited about them. It wasn’t until I incorporated a gratitude practice into my journaling that a shift took place. Becoming more grateful for all that I had been given also gave me the strength and wisdom to set boundaries and to release some things that weren’t working for me. Who knew? God, of course.
And so, thanks a lot God, for my life, for it is filled with infinite possibilities for good. Thanks, a lot, God, for the people and experiences that are drawn to me. Thanks a lot, God, for the countless opportunities for expressing You in my life. Thanks a lot, God, for the good you have for me this day!
