This week we turn our clocks forward an hour, and if you’re like me it may take a week or two to get used to. Though it may feel like we’re “losing” an hour, are we really? Perhaps a shift in perspective is needed to get through the transition.
Instead of seeing it as losing something, we can see it as a nudge in springing forward to something new. Something different. We are springing forward into days filled with more light and less darkness. We are springing forward to new signs of life all around us.
We humans have a tendency to get attach to routines and habits, not because they are necessarily what’s best for us or good for us, but because it is familiar. During this Lenten season we focus on letting go of some of those thought patterns that keep us in the familiar. Letting go allows us to open up to the possibilities that exist all around and within us.
As you move your clocks forward this weekend, see it with a new vision of springing forward into your best life yet! For with God, all things are possible!
