I watch the weather forecast and triple digit heat is all I see. 19 consecutive days so far of this and forecasted to continue. The heat seems to be relentless with no end in sight. Yet I know that the Fall will come, and then Winter, and then Spring. Seasons do change, even in Texas.
Life can be like the seasons. Relentless with no seeming end to current conditions in sight. And yet seasons do change, even for us humans. We can choose how we go through the seasons of our life. For the seasons will come, some welcomed, some may seem brutal and relentless. Seasons do change. What is changeless is the Presence and Power within us. God. Love. Divine Mind. Whatever name you may give to that Holy Presence within. When I learned to tap into that Source of Power, I began to experience the seasons of my life differently. I began to live through them with faith. Faith that good was always there, even when in the moment I could not see it.
We will have seasons in our life that seem long and relentless. There is a place where we can go for rest, release and renewal. That sacred place deep within us where God abides. Seasons do change, but God is changeless and always present.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7
