Rest, Renew, Repeat

And I say, “O that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.”—Psalm 55:6

Moving into the Winter months our natural world moves into a time of rest. Plants become dormant or die back…resting from their time of blooming. We humans could learn a thing or two from that time of rest. For many of us the winter months are busy with Holidays, school breaks, and all the other many things we put on our plates. Resting seems to be put on the back burner.

My body and mind reminds me when I am neglecting that time of rest, that time of renewal. Sniffles happen and mistakes get made. I am reminded that when activity picks up that that is the time in which I need to spend a little more time in that sanctuary of my soul. A time to let Spirit do the work. A time to remember that not only am I not alone, but I do not need to shoulder all responsibilities, all concerns, on my own. Asking for help, taking a break, and resting so that I may be renewed are part of my Spiritual work. And to repeat often!

Rest. Renew. Repeat! These coming months with the busyness of the holidays I invite, and strongly encourage you to do this.

Rest. Renew. Repeat!

Love, Light & Sparkles,

Rev. Carol Moncada
