Releasing

The month of November we are focusing on our Christ Power of Release/Renunciation. That’s our ability to say No, to let go of all that no longer serves our highest good. It’s about letting go of limited or negative beliefs we may hold about ourselves or others. A shift in consciousness occurs when we let go.  Releasing is a gift we give ourselves and to others.

There are different practices of releasing. The practice of prayer and meditation strengthens our abilities to let go inwardly. A practice of forgiveness and a gratitude practice I have found to be some of the best ways to truly let go. As the saying goes, life is lived from within-out.

Another good practice is clearing out physical stuff. Opening up space in our homes and/or work spaces allows energy to flow. It is what I’ve been doing around the church. We have had a lot of stuff!  By the end of the month most of the old furniture and odds & ends will be gone. We’re releasing it all!

The practice of releasing and letting go can be challenging. In my own life there are things/people I haven’t wanted to quite release. When I do, there’s a lightness of mind, body and soul that happens. It is an ongoing practice and process – one that always gives me more good. I invite you to truly practice on releasing a few things this month. Bless, forgive, and then open up to the good that has been waiting.

Love, Light & Sparkles,

Rev. Carol Moncada
