Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! As we move into our Advent Season of preparation, I am overjoyed for this sacred season to arrive. Yes, excited about all the seemingly magical aspects of Christmas, the decorations, lights, carols, and the energy
that goes along with everyone expressing a little more sweetness this time of year.
I also look forward to the spiritual practice of preparing the celebration of Jesus’ birth, and also the Christ presence within each of us.
How are you preparing this Advent Season? I invite you to join me in my spiritual practice for this Advent Season. Pick up your copy of the Unity publication “Be Not Afraid - The Comfort of Christmas.” We have those available in the foyer at church or you can download a soft copy. This booklet is filled with inspiring content, affirmations, and life applicable prompts. Set aside some time each day to recharge, refresh, and experience the comfort of Christmas.
Also, take time each week to center in on how you will explore the focal points of hope & faith, peace, love and joy. You may choose to do the following journaling and meditative activities each week:
Dec 1-7: What are you hopeful for? What brings you hope? How do you utilize faith to bring concrete practice in doing what is your to do in regard to those hopeful inspirations?
Dec 8-14:How are you being a peaceful presence in the world? What are some things that you can do to bring peace to yourself during chaotic times?
Dec 15-21:Love is so vast! How are you giving love? How are you receiving love? What areas in your life would you like to receive more love? What areas in the world would you like to receive more love? Write affirmations and spend time meditating sending love to those areas.
Dec 22-28: Center into your Christ consciousness. Meditate on the word joy for a bit - it may even be helpful to create a joy-focused mantra like: I am a conduit of joy, sharing my Christ expression with others. Next, take the time to write down ideas, words, or actions that bring forth that joyful presence to yourself and to others. If there are action items, do them.
May this holiday season be filled with love, and sweet e
xpressions of our Christ-light as we authentically show up for each other!
