New in-person opening date to be decided –

As Austin risk-based guidelines move to safer levels.

Join us in affirming divine wisdom and well-being for all.

It is with great regret, yet with confidence in Divine Wisdom, that our Board of Trustees has made the difficult decision to postpone the start of in-person services here at Unity of Austin. Rev. Anna and our Board are aware that the City of Austin Health authorities, due to the uptick in covid hospitalizations, have moved Austin to Level 4 of the covid-19 risk-based guidelines. https://www.austintexas.gov/page/covid-19-risk-based-guidelines

We have all been feeling excited about coming back together in our Sanctuary. Our enthusiasm has been building as we’ve developed safety guidelines, had fruitful decision-making discussions, produced welcome videos, given our building a fluff and buff, set out hand sanitizer, made signs, and prepared for a “hybrid” service that is both in-person and livestreamed. We’ve kept prayerfully tuned in to God’s guidance so that we do what is for the highest safety of everyone in our congregation.

Though we are feeling disappointed that we cannot come together as soon as we had planned, we are grateful that we can choose to do the right thing. We hold all of us here at Unity and in our greater Austin community in prayer, knowing that every person is an expression of the Divine in whatever way they understand that. We see everyone realizing their oneness with all people and making healthy decisions for everyone’s good, especially children and those who are immuno-comprised. We affirm God’s healing Presence in all who are experiencing illness, seeing them recovering well. We see our Austin community, state, nation, and world transformed into full health and well-being on all levels.

Thank you for bringing your love and light to all we are here at Unity of Austin. Our Board will be discussing the possibilities for a new future opening date for in-person services. We will let you know next week what wisdom has come from those discussions. Know that you are all in our prayers and love. We will keep you posted on all decisions. Be well and trust God’s guidance!
