Pain motivates change. When we hit bottom, we want to feel better. We’re sure we will when things change. Nothing changes. We shift our approach. We’ll feel better when other people change. They don’t. We get downright demanding. They refuse to follow our script. More pain ensues. Spirit gets a message to us via our heart, “It’s about you.” This is unwelcome news! We don’t know how to change. Desperate, we pray the Irish Fisherman’s prayer, “Be good to me the sea is so wide and my boat is so small.” God is good. We’re not alone. We can change. And that’s how we come to live in the world of our highest vision. Who knew? Pay attention to your heart. Love your soul. It is the way to life.
