Look Up!

The timing was all off and the choir rehearsing for the upcoming Easter service was getting frustrated!  Entrances were ragged—voices coming in at the wrong time and soloists missing their cues.  Nothing seemed to help.  In exasperation, the choir director exclaimed, “People!  For the final time—look up!”  That did the trick.  Heads up, now focused on the director’s baton, the choir came together.  It found its groove.  When your life seems to be looking down, focused on problems, look up!  Turn your mind to God’s Presence, God’s Love.  That momentary lift upward in consciousness brings new perspective and energy.  Solutions begin to unfold first through your ideas, and then through your actions.  This is the opportunity of Lent—strengthening our mind by looking up—practicing turning our attention to God.  As we move our thought to the Divine, wisdom and love bring spiritual life into manifestation.  That’s our job—that’s what we are here for.  “Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.”

In the Love and Light of the Christ,

Rev. Anna
