Living in the Kingdom

Here’s what I’ve learned about abundance- “But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of these things will be given to you as well,”  Matt. 6:33.  Because I believe that the Kingdom of God lives within me, I go all out to consciously dwell there.  I make every effort because I REALLY want to live fully.  Here’s my practice-I commit to live in a consciousness of Truth by interrupting destructive thinking.  I ground my heart and mind in Truth thoughts.  I tithe.  With an open heart I give money regularly and often, from a feeling of self-worth, to places and people that support my spiritual growth.  I pray for God’s guidance in my finances-and follow that guidance.  I trust God’s love.  And I ask to be of service.  My fear of economic insecurity leaves me and I am at peace.  Notice I said this is a practice.  Do I sometimes still worry about money?  Yes.  Am I sometimes stingy and get grumpy while “paying” my bills?  Yep.  Do I occasionally fret about the future?  Busted.  But that’s OK because I have a practice.  When I notice I’m doing those things-and sometimes that takes awhile, I breathe and move my mind and my heart back to center, back to God.  Every time I do that my abundance muscle gets stronger.  And before I know it I’m living in God’s Kingdom, which is always right within my own life.  What do you know about abundance?  What do you practice that brings you into God’s Kingdom?
In the Love and Light of the Christ,
