Lent and Letting Go

We are one week into the Lenten Season. In Unity, it is a letting go process. Letting go of limitations, resistance, perfectionism, fill in the blank  of whatever it is that blocks us from moving forward. It is work we do throughout the days of our lives. Lent is a time of a more mindful focus on the letting go process. Letting go and letting God.

It took a long time and much practice to understand what “letting go and letting God” truly meant to me. When I did finally start letting go I began to notice a life with less stress. Notice I didn’t say no stress. I still have stressors, and I’m still practicing letting go.

I have found this practice of letting go, of surrendering spiritually, is truly a practice of empowerment.  It has allowed my faith to deepen and move forward with courage, strength, and wisdom I hadn’t known I had all along.  When I am willing to surrender, let go and let God, then I can resurrect with a new awareness, a new understanding of my true spiritual essence.  Letting go allows me to step into the flow of life more fully!

This Lenten season I invite you to practice letting go and letting God. Let go of limitations and claim the transformational power of Spirit within.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God – what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

 Love, Light, & Sparkles,
