Higher View

Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in.—Psalm 24:7

This past weekend I traveled by airplane for the first time in 4 years. I had forgotten that feeling of awe as I viewed out the window. Seeing our world from a higher view, where there are no imaginary lines separating us one from another. We flew high enough to be above any storm clouds, low enough to still see the landscape below. Moving at a higher level in a clear blue sky with no beginning and no end.

It was a reminder for me that I did not have to be in an airplane to have that experience. When faced with challenges, I have a choice to look from a higher view.  To lift myself above the storm clouds and have clarity, to find guidance and direction from my inner Pilot, God.

I also know that moving in clear blue skies there will be a few bumps along the way. It is a part of our human experience. The bumps though no longer throw me into panic or anxiety or thinking the worst. It is through the bumps that I grow, that I am reminded of my connection to God, to my own Divine essence. That connection is what allows me to see the good and the beauty of this world, in people, and in myself.  Rising to a higher view, I soar beyond all limitations and see all possibilities of good.

Love, Light, & Sparkles,

Rev. Carol
