We’re excited to host our first Ghoulish Trunk and Treat
Unity Church of Austin’s is hosting its 1st Ghoulish Trunk or Treat Day. Come and celebrate and have fun. We will have a train ride for kids and adults, a bouncy obstacle course, pumpkin carving contest with a top win of $100.00 prize, games with prizes, a guessing booth where you can win giant bottle filled with candy if you guess the correct amount of chocolate, and so much more

Join us for a day to remember our loved ones. The ofrenda is already set up in the Gathering Room for you to bring photos of loved ones. After church on Nov. 2 we will have a moment to share and remember.
We will honor and remember our loved ones after Sunday Service on Nov. 2 in the Gathering Room. Our ofrenda is set up and you may bring photos or items that remind you of your loved ones who have transitioned. You may pick up the photos or items after the time of remembrance on Nov. 2nd. We will have a time for prayer and a time to share stories about your loved ones.
Creative Expressions Workshop: The Freedom of Release

This family friendly event will bring inspiration through the power of releasing what no longer serves us and experiencing the freedom that comes with that release. Come create some abstract, process art with us!
This is a family friendly event, adults will experience their workshop in the Gathering Room and kids will experience their workshop in the Youth & Family Room. We will explore the power we have to release what no longer serves us and experience the feeling of freedom through that release. We will create Process Art - which is a free, abstract expression of art that connects us to this process of release to reach freedom. Are you thinking, "But I'm not an artist, I'm not crafty."? No worries, because that is the beauty of Process Art. It is supposed to be abstract and a little messy. Think of the fun you may have had fingerpainting as a kid. It was messy and fun. The first part of the workshop will be reflective to allow us the opportunity to discover what we would like to release. The last half will be creating the art. Bring a friend, or two, or three! All art supplies are provided. While there is no set fee, a love offering is appreciated for our facilitators and to cover supplies.

We come together to discuss spiritual books and explore what they reveal to us. The class reads along together during the class time and pauses for discussion. This book study is facilitated by Janice Goodsell.

We are gearing up for the holiday season! Rehearsals start Sunday, September 21st and will go through Dec 21st. Holiday performances are the Sunday before Christmas and Christmas Eve. We may had an additional performance as well.
After refreshments in the Gathering Room, meet us back in the sanctuary around the piano.

Spiritual Healing Sound Bath
1st Mondays - 7-8:30 pm
Be renewed while meditating during our Spiritual Healing Sound Bath. Led my Martha Iglehart, we will be guided to realign our chakras and gain balance. Reiki practitioners are available to provide a mini reiki session during meditation.
Love offerings accepted.

What does a beloved community mean to you? We will be exploring just that at our Coffee & Spirituali-Tea gatherings! Due to popular request, we are adding an evening meet-up as well. Join us, third Thursdays at 10 am or 6 pm at Nomadic Outpost (3505 Country White Ln.).
In the 1957 speech by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., he proclaimed that we need to create Beloved Communities. I find, now, more than ever we should heed those words of wisdom. Rev. Carol and I are inspired by these words and the book, Creating the Beloved Community: A Handbook for Spiritual Leadership by Jim Lockard. While reading the book is not a requirement for our time together at Coffee & Spirituali-Tea, we will be gleaning some content to inspire our discussion
