Christmas – A Time for Love and Open Hearts
What will Christmas be for you this year? I hope it will be the most real and most meaningful that you have ever experienced. It’s possible, for the rapidly moving events of this year have brought us a tremendous awakening. They have cracked our hearts open. Love and pain—deep understandings we could never have foreseen have come spilling out. So much has surfaced for us as individuals, as a nation, as a world. We’ve learned so much about what inequities persist. And we have participated in, been part of, and witnessed the outpouring of good will, right action, and loving care that are making needed shifts in consciousness and in our ways of interacting with our fellow human beings and our nurturing planet Earth. We have seen how far we’ve come and how far we have to go. We have felt how much we care for one another and how touched we are by one another’s pain and loss and by one another’s courage. We have seen how complex our relationships are and that there are no easy answers.
For many of us, the wounds in the world have touched into wounds we have as individuals. This is a great time of healing. It has been said that you can’t heal what you can’t feel. Well, friends we have opened to our feeling nature. We can feel both how magnificent we are as human beings and how frail. It takes accepting and bringing together both to make us real, to make us Divine. The Christmas story is about the birthing of the fullness of the spiritual soul into human existence. Friends we are doing that birthing and it is so exciting! A new consciousness is coming into our earth.
Christmas has always been a time of love and the open heart. I invite you to join us in our special holiday services and times of fellowship. Through our celebrations we are opening our Christmas gifts of hope, peace, love, and joy. Make this the fullest, most loving, joyous, hope and peace filled Christmas you have ever experienced. We are living our faith, seeing God everywhere and in all, and continuing to birth into experience the rich and deep love that lives in every heart.
In the Love and Light of the Christ,
Rev. Anna
